Patsy Rahn
|
|
|
Patsy Rahn spent eighteen years
working in theatre, film and television in Toronto, New York and Los
Angeles. After retiring from acting, she worked as a conference
coordinator and later as a personal assistant to the internationally
renowned artist, Sam Francis. In 1996 she graduated summa from UCLA
with a BA in political science. She is currently a graduate student at
Indiana University. Her area of study is Chinese thought, in particular,
Confucianism. Her paper "The Falun Gong: Beyond the Headlines" was
delivered at the American Family Foundation Annual Conference in 2000
and was later published in Cultic Studies Journal: Psychological
Manipulation and Society v.17 2000. Her article, "The Chemistry of
a Conflict: The Chinese Government and the Falun Gong" was
published in Terrorism and Political Violence. v.14 Winter 2002
n.4 and appears in reprint in the online Cultic Studies Journal
v.2 2003 n.2. (prahn@indiana.edu)
